Chulu west peak (6,584 m) climbing is one another popular peak for climbing in Nepal. It is located in Annapurna region. Chulu West peak climbing is also combined with Annapurna region trekking. Besides, Chulu West Peak, there are numerous other peaks located in Annapurna region which are included in the trekking package. Chulu west peak lies to the north of Mt. Annapurna, above the Manang valley. Chulu west peak climbing is also combined with Chulu east peak Climbing. Chulu west peak climbing trip begins with 7 to 8 hours drive from Beshisahar and the trail heads up to Chamche, Dharapani, Hunde, Yak Kharka and finallya you will reach at Chulu west base camp, where you will have time for acclimatization, once you are ready you will have summit and you will return back along the Manang valley and continue to Khangsar, Tilicho lake and then subsequently reach to Tilichho Phedi and finally reach at Jomsom and fly back to Pokhara subsequently to Kathmandu.

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m)
As soon as you land at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will complete the visa formalities after which you will be escorted by our representative to the luxury hotel where you will enjoy the welcome dinner and stay overnight in a hotel in Kathmandu. You will be briefed about Chulu West Peak Climbing package by our team leader. You will also meet with other trekking members.

Day02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
You will be given half day guided city tour of UNESCO Heritage at Kathmandu by our licensed trekking guide. The tour starts with visit to the most respected Hindu Temple at Pashupatinath. You will also visit Nepal’s largest Buddha Monastery of Bauddhanath, world’s oldest stupa of Swayambhu and you will enjoy the sight of medieval palaces, courtyards and alleys at Kathmandu Durbar Square. Returning back to the hotel, the trekking gears would be checked by climbing leader.   

Day03: Drive to Jagat (1100m) 9hrs
We will leave Kathmandu very early in the morning. We need to travel for 9hrs in a Tourist Coach to reach Besisahar. It is the District Headquarter of Lamjung. We will leave the black topped road and follow the gravel road to Jagat where we will stay overnight in a local guesthouse. 

Day04: Trek to Dharapani (1960m) 8hrs
This is the day that we enter the remote and untouched district of Manang. Crossing the bridge, we will reach the Tal village which is the small village of multi ethnic people. We will walk past the crop fields of Tal to Kodo Village. The village is named after the millet plant since it is the largest producer of millet (kodo) in Manang valley. From Kodo, we will take the escalating trail to Dharapani village where we will stay overnight.   

Day05: Trek to Chame (2710m) 7hrs
We will leave Dharapani village early in the morning. The trail escalates uphill through the forest of oak and pine and leads to the hilltop from where we can view Lamjung Mountain, Annapurna II Mountain and Annapurna IV Mountain. We will descend and cross the landslide prone areas to Chame. It is the District Headquarter of Manang. We will also encounter a natural hotspring before reaching Chame. 

Day06: Trek to Pisang (3300m) 6hrs
We will follow the tapered path through the pine woods that would lead us to boulder valley of Manang. We will cross pretty small Buddhist villages of Taleku and Bhratang through the path lined with mani walls and chortens. We can get panoramic view of Annapurna II Mountain before crossing the river over wooden bridge to Lower Pisang. 

Day07: Trek to Manang (3500m) 7hrs
Soon after we begin our walk from Lower Pisang, we will come face to face with two alternative routes. Both of them can take us to Manang from Pisang. We will take the trail that escalates through Upper Pisang. Crossing Geru, we will reach Manang. The route offers panoramic views of Annapurna Mountain, Pisang Mountain and other mountains. We will visit Barge Monastery which is the largest Monastery of Manang district.   
 
Day08: Rest Day in Manang
It will be wise to take a day of rest in Manang as there will be sharp increase in altitude after Manang. We can arrange for side trip to Bhojo Gompa or Gangapurna Lake. Upon your interest, we can also visit Vraga Monastery in small Vraga village.     
 
Day09: Trek to Leder (4200m) 5hrs
We will take early breakfast in Manang and follow the escalating trail to Yakkharka. Thar, Himalayan goats and yaks can be seen grazing in the meadow of Yakkharka. We will walk further to the steep hill and reach Leder where we will stay overnight.

Day10: Trek to Chulu West Base Camp (4900m) 5hrs
We will walk through moraines and boulders to the Base of Chulu West peak. We will set our base camp on the clear area in the rocky terrain and stay overnight in our camp. We can get the unobstructed view of Annapurna Mountain from Chulu West Base Camp.

Day11: Trek to Chulu West High Camp I (5100m) 5hrs
We need to conquer 30 degree slope to reach the Chulu West High Camp I. The oath will be challenging and we will need the help of fixed cables at many junctures. We will get pleasant views of Annapurna Mountain, Dhaulagiri Mountain, Gangapurna Mountain, Lamjung Mountain and Manaslu Mountain from the Chulu West High Camp I. We will reach the area at 5100m altitude which will be covered in snow. We will set our first high camp here. 

Day12: Rest Day at Chulu West High Camp 
We recommend you to take a day of rest at Chulu West High Camp I before moving to Chulu West Peak High Camp II. You can spend the day as you like. Upon your interest, we can explore the glacier. We will also practice to climb the Chulu West Peak.    

Day13: Trek to Chulu West High Camp II (5530m) 5hrs
Although many of the climbers try to reach Chulu West Peak summit on the same day without staying on High Camp II, we advise you to take a day of rest at High Camp II. The trail stretches along the lateral moraines and reaches at High Camp II that exists at 5530m altitude where we will be staying overnight.  

Day14: Reach to top of Chulu West (6419m) and return to High Camp I 10hrs
This is the day that we had all been waiting for. We will take the vertical climb through narrow snowy ridges to the summit of Chulu West Peak. We need to take the tiring climb. We can get views of Gangapurna Mountain, Annapurna Mountain, Manaslu Mountain and other Mountains. After spending few time on summit, we will lower down to Chulu West High Camp I on the same day.

Day15: Trek to Leder 6hrs
An easy trek from Chulu West High Camp I will take us to the Base camp. From the Base Camp, we will take 6hrs of trek to Leder. We will enjoy the view of Annapurna and other Mountains throughout our way. Leder is the pretty little village where we will stay overnight. 

Day16: Spare Day
This is the spare day which will ensure that our schedule will not be affected even if we face obstacles and unforeseen circumstances like bad weather or if some of our crew member falls ill.

Day17: Trek to Thorong Phedi (4450m) 4hrs
After taking brief descend, we will take the escalating path to the base of Thorongla Pass. Thorongla is one of the world’s highest mountainous pass. We will climb Thorongla only on the next day so we will choose the clear area at the foothill of Thorongla to stay overnight.

Day18: Climb Thorongla Pass (5416m) and trek to Jomsom (2715m) via Muktinath (3800m) 8hrs trek 2hrs drive
It is going to be a long and tiring day. We need to begin our trek early in the morning. Difficult climb will be broken into various brief sessions. We will lower down from Thorongla and reach Muktinath in about 3hrs. We will worship in Muktinath before continuing our journey to Jomsom.

Day19: Jomsom Pokhara Flight 25min
An early morning flight of 25minutes will take us to Pokhara from Jomsom. We can get views of Annapurna Mountain and Dhaulagiri Mountain. We will pack our things and stay overnight in hotel in lakeside Pokhara.

Day20: Drive back to Kathmandu 5hrs
We will take 5hrs of drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu and return to hotel in Kathmandu.

Day21: Departure
This is the end day of Chulu West Peak Climbing package. You will be assisted in last moment preparation and taken to TIA from where you will board the plane back to your home.
