Everest base camp trekking is one of the classical trekking trails in the country and it is one of the famous and the best trekking destinations in the world since the travelers have an opportunity to reach on the lap of the highest peaks of the world, Mt. Everest (8,848 m) and explore the areas, capture the scenic views of the peaks lying around including the Mt. Everest, popularly known as Sagarmatha. The Everest base camp trekking has been popular especially after the successful summit made by Tenzing Norgey Sherpa Sir Edmund Hilary on the Mt. Everest (8848 m) in 1953. The treks to Everest base camp is not mere famous for having scenic views of the mountains, you will also have an opportunity to summit yourself on the rocky, white-snow capped mountains if you are brave to do that. The Everest region trekking including Everest base camp trekking is protected by the Sagarmatha National Park, which was established in 1976, covering an area of 1148 square kilometers. It is one of the richest parks in the country in terms of various endangered animals, flora and fauna.

Everest base camp trek usually consists of trekking in the high altitude area mostly covering above 3,000 m and the optimum height is 8,848 m. Therefore, the trekking in the Everest region is also considered to be one of the challenging trekking trails in Nepal, the travelers are usually caught by the high altitude sickness. Trek to Everest base camp begins with short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla airport and then follows the classical route to Everest camp or begins with a day drive from Kathmandu to Bhandar (Earlier the trekking begins from the place called Jiri, but these days the bus available up to Bhandar, a gate way to Solukhumbu) and follows the classical route to the base camp. The trekking in this region can be shorten or extend as per the requirements and schedule of the travelers. After making the trips to the base camp, you will return back to Lukla airport and fly back to Kathmandu or walk up to Bhandar along the same route and return back to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Katmandu – Lukla (2,886m), Phakding
Arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu you will take another pictorial flight to Lukla after meeting an expert guide belongs to Mount Fuji Adventure.  Flight to Lukla takes 40 minutes which is to be found at 2,886 meter. Day 02: Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,440m)

Day 05: Tyangboche to Dingboche (4,260m)

The form of conditions of Lukla cannot be estimated so more regularly the trekking companies used to add an extra day for Lukla. Day 13: Lukla to Kathmandu fly
